Eggs – Fenton Farm in Holcombe Regis, Devon
“Our Eggs are laid by hens reared in traditional free-range flocks. They have access throughout the day to green pasture and are fed a natural vegetarian diet. Indeed, the excellent conditions the hens are kept in result in exceptional quality eggs with bright yolks and superior flavour. They are sold through independent delis, for instance, Mortimer & Bennett, Partridges and De Beauvoir Deli as well as 5 local Waitroses. In fact, our eggs have won two prestigious Small Producer of the Year awards sponsored by Waitrose and the Times, winning the fresh food category & best newcomer award. Next, we also won the British Egg Council’s Small Producer Award. Finally, our eggs have won Gold medal from Taste of the West.”
Sausages and Bacon – Little Oak Farm in Timberscombe, Somerset
“Little Oak Farm is our family run business situated in the heart of Exmoor National Park, Somerset. We produce Rare Breed Middle White Pork from our own herd of Pigs. Naturally, our pigs are born and reared outdoors and we farm in a traditional and ethical manner to ensure our pigs certainly have high welfare and live a good life while on the farm. We specially cut Bossington Hall bacon to their specific requirements.”
Supplier to James Martin Chef
Tea & Coffee – Miles Tea and Coffee, Porlock, Somerset
“The name Miles goes back a long way, in fact, we’ve been blending tea since 1888. Over the years we’ve drunk gallons of tea and coffee, so you can certainly say we know a thing or two about the humble cuppa – we like to think we’re finally able to describe ourselves as experts.
You may have guessed that we’re pretty passionate about tea and coffee and we can’t wait to share the Miles experience with you. If anyone knows how to make a good brew, it’s us. So pop the kettle on, put your feet up and enjoy a moment with Miles.”

Although its not a full evening meal, we now are offering a ‘Cheese and Nibbles’ buffet and a coffee maker, ideal if you have had a late lunch, or just don’t want to leave!
If you wish to have a take-away, we, of course, provide plates and cutlery from the Coffee and Cheese buffet area.
Finally, we do not charge Corkage, despite having a Bar.

Country House Hotel in all but name We have been before and so knew what to expect. Don't be fooled by the B&B label. This a country house hotel but without the dining option. Breakfast is excellent and sets you up for the day. The views are fantastic and, if you just want to relax and read it is the perfect ambience for doing so. If you bring back a takeaway you are provided with plates etc. There is also an honesty bar which includes cheeses/ham etc. Guy, the owner, is a charming chap and because it is still not season, was waiting at breakfast. Bedrooms all have huge televisions if you can ytear yourself away from the view. - 3/15/2024

Fantastic B&B in peaceful surroundings 😀 - Great welcome from the owners, lovely room in a magnificent house, super breakfast. Bossington Hall Hotel is in a wonderful location overlooking Porlock marshes in this unspoilt part of Exmoor. The room had amazing views, particularly at sunset. The whole area is extremely quiet, so just perfect for relaxing in peaceful surroundings. It's a gem and we wished that we had found it earlier when doing the SWCP. 😞 - N/A - 9/03/2023

This is a beautiful house in an amazing location with great rooms and great views. The bedroom and bathroom were really clean, with really nice amenities including Nespresso machine and really nice toiletries. The big plus for us was the fact the hotel has its own 7kWh EV charger so we could charge overnight! Would love to come back and definitely recommend. - 6/12/2022

This was our second stay at Bossington Hall. Situated in the centre of many walking paths, you can access the National Trust forest paths, the cliff top, and the marshes from the back of Bossington Hall, avoiding roads. The atmosphere and decor is gorgeous and the staff have a very light touch. Breakfast is fantastic. - 7/10/2024

Wonderful place for a relaxing luxury break 😀 - Gorgeous location within walking distance of the beach, pubs, restaurants and many amazing local walks. Guy also directed us to Dunkery Beacon, a short drive away, and a dark sky reserve where the stargazing is phenomenal. The Hall itself is a splendid building, and the interior has been designed and furnished with incredible attention to detail. Superb bedrooms, huge bathrooms, comfortable lounge areas and a boot room for muddy boots, guests can find complete relaxation here. Breakfast at Bossington is an amazing event, with everything carefully sourced and freshly prepared, really fabulous. We will definitely be back, and would recommend a visit to Bossington Hall to to anyone looking for a relaxing and super-comfortable break in a beautiful part of the world. 😞 - Nothing, loved it all - 3/11/2024

😞 - Nichts - alles perfekt 🙂 - 8/07/2023

Bossington Hall was an incredible spot. We had no idea it would be so luxurious. We chose the area so we could walk the beach but it turned out to be so much more. The gardens were fabulous. The accommodation has everything we needed. There were several walks from the house. Overall, we truly wished we had planned to stay longer. - 10/24/2023

Easy to book and pay on-line here. Questions answered promptly by the owner. Website informative and accurate. This is a lovely luxury B&B in the most wonderful area and setting, rising high above the beautiful villages of Bossington & Allerford. We stayed in the accessible self-catering apartment appropriately named Allerford View. Parking is limited here, but a space is allocated for this booking, with level access to the sheltered courtyard area. The accommodation is generous and well equipped. Starter pack and other items of really high quality & appreciated.Breakfast (if the B&B itself is not full, & check the extra cost) can be arranged, and we were so glad we did, twice. As a special treat after a small Premium Bond win, we had for one night stayed at the Polizzi Hotel Endsleigh near the Devon/Cornwall border. 5* luxury, wonderful gardens, décor & staff…..but….Bossington Hall’s breakfast was better! Eggs, mushrooms and bacon all of better flavour. Perfectly cooked, very hot, and well presented. Continental buffet really excellent and well thought out. Thank you Guy, your staff, and of course Exmoor itself, for yet another wonderful and relaxing holiday. Highly recommended. - 6/24/2023

I booked this visit based mainly on the reviews that it had already received.|I was not misinformed by them as Bossington Hall is wonderful.|Guy was fabulous with his communication and addressed every single requirement for our stay, I added some champagne and flowers in the room in also included a couple of spa treatments.|From arrival to departure, the team could not do enough for you, the breakfast was amazing, throughout the stay we ordered the full English breakfast, avocado pear and poached eggs and porridge with whisky, all were presented and tasted ace, plenty generous but not over-facing. The cold breakfast buffet was also well stocked with all the cereals, pastries, cheese, ham etc and plenty of help yourself coffee in the pots.|The grounds are spectacular and seeing our dog curiously investigate the three silent robot lawn mowers busy at their work was quite entertaining.|The room was massive and bathroom nearly bigger, queen size bed, fridge, quality in-room tea and coffee making facilities made for a comfortable stay.|Everything was presented in good, clean order and the period furniture and heavy doors made for an authentic feel.|Highly Recommended. - 10/24/2023

Overnight Stay - Thoroughly enjoyable Fantastic overnight stay. Made to feel very welcome upon arrival by the owner who then took us to a great vantage point to take in the stunning views whilst giving us a brief bit of background history surrounding the building. We took our dog who was welcomed greatly. The staff on site were pleasant and polite and on hand to assist with anything we needed. Breakfast was great. Can't wait to return later on in the year. | Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, property conditions & facilities, room comfort - 4/19/2022

Wonderful manor on Exmoor Stayed 3 nights at this wonderfully peaceful manor and large grounds with our labrador, playing in their outdoor tennis court and squash court. Had the best sleep and most delicious cooked and fresh breakfasts. The manor is extremely homely with an honesty bar. Warm staff and very helpful of where we could eat and walk. The best part of the location are the trail walks immediately behind the manor that takes you straight up to the beautiful Exmoor. - 8/14/2022

We had a lovely time staying at Bossington hall. Our room was clean, comfortable and warm and had everything you need for a luxurious stay. When we first arrived we were shown around the downstairs with its comfy sitting rooms and drinks makers(we didn’t use the honesty bar but there is one!).|The views were beautiful. |We had some lovely walks planned on our 2 days and we were very lucky with the weather. ||We went out for a meal in Porlock on the Saturday night. (It’s about a half hours walk into the town). There are lots of restaurants to choose from. ||The breakfast was first class. Lots to choose from and a lovely dining area. |Would definitely recommend to anyone. |Thank you. - 10/24/2023

Not your average B&B! To describe Bossington Hall as a luxury B&B - hardly does it justice. The recent renovation is superb - the rooms both public and private are stunning and the views in the superb gardens exquisite. Breakfast was mouthwatering and Guy, the proprietor, is a charming host. Just one word of caution. The expression “private bathroom” means that it is not en suite but adjacent to or opposite your room - understandable given the structure of the rooms. A minor quibble in an otherwise unforgettable stay. | Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, property conditions & facilities, room comfort - 10/03/2023

On arrival every detail was explained… On arrival every detail was explained about the beautiful property, we were taken to the various rooms available to use then out onto the terrace with the amazing views, tennis courts and squash courts plus sauna, the room was one of the cleanest I have ever experienced. Breakfast was over and above what you’d expect at a 5* hotel… Great host, great chief, wonderful experience, would definitely recommend it plus would definitely go back … - 9/22/2022

Where to start! Bossington Hall is not a luxury B&B. It’s in a category all of its own!||Superbly renovated by Guy, its current proprietor and set in stunning gardens with outstanding views over the hills and sea in the distance, a stay here is an unforgettable experience. ||The winding, narrow road leading to the property from the delightful village of Allerford merely hints at what is to come. ||Everything within the building is the essence of elegance from the public areas to the beautifully decorated rooms - however if your room is described as having a “private bathroom” this will not be en suite but adjacent to or opposite your actual room but totally in keeping with the excellent standards of the establishment.||Guests are offered a magnificent breakfast (the mushrooms are a treat as are the croissants). However there is no restaurant for evening meals (nor anywhere within easy walking distance). To compensate for this, guests can purchase cheeses and boxes of Spanish ham & charcuteries together with crackers, wines, beers etc. at very modest prices on an honesty basis by signing a book. More than sufficient for us!||The congenial Guy was only too happy to explain the whole concept behind this ambitious project and we can only wish him and his team every success - more than likely in view of the glowing reviews which encouraged us to book in the first place. - 10/24/2023

We stayed for 4 days last month in a perfect room with sea views. Highly recommended for a peaceful break. We went down to the pubs in Porlock every evening for something to eat and a drink. Spent a bit of time in the day doing some exploring and generally enjoyed a lovely time doing very little. We will definitely be going again when we need a bit of time to switch off. - 4/08/2024

This is undoubtedly one of the best country resorts in England. Their detail to service is unbelievable. Nothing anywhere is always perfect, but it is usually how the host and staff deal with problems. This had Swiss precision 🙂 The property was so well looked-after throughout, immaculate rooms, setting and gardens are of 5-star standards. The rooms are spacious and beautifully furnished. The linen in particular pleased us and the bed was exceptionally comfortable. Guy, Emmy, and all the staff were always present at breakfast and served a wide choice of delicious foods. Where their "angels" come from to keep this large hall at such a high standard of good housekeeping and cleanliness is unbelievable as there were never seen! The manager, Guy, is extremely charming and helpful. We look forward to returning! - 5/24/2023

Excellent stay so much so we extended it 3nights. Have recommended it to everyone we know. A real hidden gem! 😀 - The property is unique in all the right ways. Beautiful decor, excellent location to get away from it all. The Hall and grounds have everything you will need to fully relax and enjoy. 😞 - The dogs didn’t like the robotic lawnmowers but that was it. We loved everything about the place. - 10/09/2023

Theres not much I can add to what others have contributed, aside from they are absolutely spot on. Its a stunning location with easy access by car to Minehead just 15 mins away, great walks all around, beautiful views, and a very peaceful place all round. We stayed in the self catering apartment which was very welcoming, spacious with all the modern amenities you might expect. From the moment we arrived we felt at home, and we will definitely be returning soon. Its our new number 1 spot for a few days getaway to recharge. - 8/25/2024
