Luxury B and B

Our tranquil and serene location is perfect for your staycation intimate weekend, or a walker’s base to explore the Exmoor scenery.  Practical elements like a Mud / Boot Room by the front door and dog towels, through to WiFi and binoculars will ensure a relaxing break. Ten minutes off the South West Coast Path, or Coleridge Way,  we are rural but not remote, with Porlock village just a mile away. We proudly have the oldest Squash Court in England, and a hard tennis court if you need to get the blood pumping. Bossington hall is a B and B not a boutique hotel, so evening meals will need to be taken in Porlock or Dunster villages.

You have a choice of  accommodation, with Six separate B and B rooms, with private or ensuite bathrooms, all luxuriously decorated, and many with Sea Views across to Porlock Weir and across Exmoor. Whilst we are not a boutique hotel, we have many facilities of a small hotel, except evening meals. We have an EV charge point in the large car park, because you need to charge your car, as well as your soul.

Bossington Hall Grounds & Activities

You have eight acres of informal gardens and woodland to explore. Boasting expansive lawned areas, tennis and badminton courts, the oldest private Squash court in England. Furthermore, a mill pond, shallow river, waterfall, children’s play area and even a private ten seater cinema room / presentation suite, rather more akin to a boutique hotel than a B and B, so even an inclement day will be wonderful.

Bossington Hall in History

The house was built in 1911 by Allan Hughes, one of the last great independently minded nineteenth-century ship owners. Full of interesting, quirky and cosy spaces, this country residence was designed to cater for a large family with their individual requirements.

Our interior design is purposely in keeping with 1920’s understated elegance, so whilst offering comfort, style and practicality throughout. WiFi is available throughout, and the plumbing is fully modernised.
